Our Work | The Legacy School
A Fifteen-Year School for Dyslexia, Rebuilt Into the Brand Its Results Deserved
We rebuilt an established school's entire brand and digital home so that a family's first impression online would finally match what they feel the moment they walk onto campus.
The Legacy School had spent fifteen years doing what most schools only claim to do: teaching children with dyslexia and language-based learning differences in a way that is genuinely built around how those children learn, rather than adapted from a mainstream model. Families who found the school stayed, referred their friends, and described it as the first place that saw their child clearly. What the school did not have was a brand and a digital presence that carried any of that weight. An aging website, a patchwork of disconnected systems, and an identity designed years earlier told almost none of the story that families discovered the instant they arrived on the eight-acre campus.

The Unique Challenge
A respected institution whose brand had fallen behind its reputation
Fifteen years of proven outcomes and a devoted referral base were being represented through a dated website and an identity that no longer reflected the school.
The first impression a family formed online was quietly working against everything the school had earned in person.
Every touchpoint needed to signal a serious, established institution from the very first glance.
A methodology that had to outlive any one person
The school's approach could easily be read as something that lived inside its founder rather than the institution.
The positioning had to make clear that the methodology lives in the faculty, the systems, and the building itself.
The brand needed to communicate durability, so that families trusted the school and not simply a single charismatic leader.
A decision made in an emotional moment, not a transactional one
Parents arrive worried, often after years of watching their child struggle and work twice as hard as everyone else.
The brand had to meet each family exactly where they were in their child's story, without pressure or jargon.
Warmth and credibility had to coexist on every page, because families need to feel both understood and reassured.
Systems that had to run a real school, not just display one
Admissions inquiries, campus tours, applications, and family communication were spread across disconnected tools.
Every form and every request had to route to the right place automatically, with no room for a lost inquiry.
The infrastructure had to scale with enrollment without adding administrative burden to a small team.
The Approach
Brand Strategy & Positioning
We began with research rather than a design file, because the school needed a defensible position before it needed a new logo. We positioned Legacy as the school built from scratch around how children with learning differences actually thrive, not a mainstream program with accommodations bolted on, but an institution designed for these students from the ground up. That position was drawn directly from what the school already did every day, which is precisely why it holds.
Voice-of-Customer Research
We interviewed the founder at length and then went straight to past and current families, learning in their own words why they had chosen Legacy and what had changed for their children once they enrolled. That language became the foundation of the messaging, so the brand speaks in the words of the families it serves rather than in claims we invented.
Visual Identity Design
We designed an identity that reads as established, warm, and credible, closer to a respected independent school than to a clinical intervention program. The system was built to hold together across a campus sign, a report card, a website, and a film, so the school looks like one coherent institution everywhere a family encounters it.
Brand Messaging & Copywriting
We wrote every page of the site ourselves, drawing each line from the strategy and from the families' own language. The messaging is organized around a simple, human throughline: we see your child, we build what matters, and what we build lasts, and it culminates in the founder's own conviction: “We do not ask children to change. We change how we teach.”
UX/UI Design
We designed the experience around a worried parent's real journey, so that a family can understand the school, feel understood by it, and take the next step without friction. Every path leads calmly toward the same invitation, which is to come and see the school in person.
Web Development
We migrated the school off its aging platform and built a modern, fast, and fully editable website in its place. The build was engineered so that the school's small team can maintain it confidently, without depending on a developer for routine updates.
Business Infrastructure
We built the operational core that a school actually runs on, connecting inquiries, tour scheduling, application forms, and payments so that each submission routes automatically to the right place. What launched was not a brochure waiting to be made useful, but a working admissions system on its first day.
On-Site Photography
Over a two-day production on campus, we captured the classrooms, the faculty, the students, the eight acres, and new leadership headshots, including aerial coverage of the grounds. The result is a library of authentic imagery that lets the school show, rather than tell, what a day at Legacy looks like.
Brand Film
We produced an original brand film that gives the institution a voice and a face, so the site launched with real storytelling in place rather than placeholder space.
Marketing Collateral
We extended the identity into the materials the school uses every day: business cards, letterhead, email signatures, and presentation templates, so the brand stays consistent across every parent interaction, on screen and off.
CMS Training & Handoff
We closed the engagement with a hands-on training session and a written CMS manual, so the team owns its new website with confidence and can keep it current long after launch.
A brand that finally matches the education
The Legacy School now presents online exactly as it does in person: as a serious, warm, and established institution with fifteen years of results behind it. The gap between the first impression and the real experience has closed.
A position no competitor can easily claim
By anchoring the brand in the fact that Legacy was built from scratch for children with learning differences, we gave the school a position rooted in what it genuinely is rather than in a claim a competitor could dispute.
A methodology that reads as institutional, not personal
The new brand makes clear that the approach lives in the faculty, the systems, and the building, which protects the school's credibility and its future well beyond any single leader.
Infrastructure that runs admissions without manual effort
Inquiries, tours, applications, and payments now move through one connected system, so a small team can manage growing interest without anything falling through the cracks.
